The Cleveland Browns are today part of the AFC north division of the NFL. They joined the football league way back in 1950. Since that time they have won eight different league championships,Cleveland Browns Jerseys - A Traditional Design Articles of which four have been in the NFL. If you are a fan then you will want to be sure you get hold of memorabilia such as the latest design of Cleveland Browns Jerseys.

Though the team has a long history of success, they have not been as glorious since the merger of the NFL and AFL. The Browns are one of only five teams that have yet to make it to a Super Bowl, and to make matters worse they are the only NFL team city that has yet to host or send a team to the Super Bowl.

The uniform worn by the Browns has changed very little over the years except for a small deviation to silver colored pants during the fifties and some alterations to the stripes present on the helmets, jerseys, and socks. An interesting fact about the uniform worn by the Cleveland Browns is that it is the only kit used which has no logo as such on the helmet, there is only a big bold letter B.

The Cleveland Browns jerseys feature the famous brown color with a white and orange stripe down the sleeve and white numbers emblazoned on the back. There is also another kit all in white with brown numbers and an orange brown stripe. The pants worn are usually white with an orange brown stripe while the socks can be either brown or white depending upon which jersey is being used.

Since the end of the nineties the team has mostly worn the white and brown jersey at home which in some ways is a little odd as usually it is only teams in hotter climates that opt for a light colored kit.

One small addition to the jerseys was incorporated in 2002; this is the initials AL that became designed into the sleeves. The reason was to commemorate the team owner Al Lerner who sadly passed away during that year.

For the first ever time in the history of the team, the Cleveland Browns used brown pants during a preseason game in 2008. They were designed for away games though as yet are not a regular choice.

If you love to spend your Sundays sitting in the "Dawg Pound" at the Brown's stadium then you will feel more proud doing so by wearing the latest jersey. It is true that the more fans that get behind a team vocally the better motivated they will be on the field. Who knows, maybe this season will be the one in which the Browns can remove their past underachievement.

To compare a selection of the latest NFL jerseys you should check out online retailers. The choice and cost would be far more pleasing than at a typical retail store. There would be no restrictions on a product being shipped to you, wherever you live.
