Did He Leave Because of Me? Why Your Boyfriend is now Your Ex

When two people’s lives merge, there are many bumps and rough patches to work through.  Sometimes a breakup is a rough patch that can be overcome if you’re willing to keep forging ahead.  You just need to have a little guidance to make it safely to the other side.  Part of that is to understand why your boyfriend left you in the first place.

Guys aren’t complex when it comes to relationships with people. They stay around people that they get along with and like being around.  Guys have two attributes that can determine how they respond to other people and when those are ignored they feel there is no reason to stick around.  Those two attributes are: respect and admiration.

A guy’s mind functions on knowing that he is admired and respected (or can at least have self-respect).  How do you play into the equation?  You let him know that you are happy and that he is the one that makes you happy.

When a guy feels he can no longer make his significant other happy he will feel he is worthless in the relationship.  His goal and purpose is to make you happy, if you fail to show him that… he will leave.  That’s actually a leading reason many guys tend to leave a relationship.

The next time you’re around your ex and he does something that makes you smile, let him see that smile and just watch how he glows from your expression.  He might readjust himself so his chest sticks out or rearrange his stance so his feet are shoulder-width apart in the “confidence” stance or he just might have a huge grin on his face.  If you want to get your ex back you have to show him you’re happy with him and what he does for you.
