Smartphone market is expanding and people are getting to try out various exciting phones. Eagerness is in the air for the latest Blackberry phone from Research in Motion. Forgot about the famous ‘BB’ mania? To refresh your memories,Consumer reviews bring out the anticipation for the latest Blackberry Articles the phone was introduced in 1999. At that point of time, it was launched as a two way pager. In 2002, the major improvement took place. The phone had a novel feature like electronic mail capabilities. Over the years, blackberry reviews transformed from positive into negative. The major point of criticism was the poor battery life. After the influx of Android devices and the domination of Apple, it seems that the brand is on the verge of fading into oblivion. The company has changed its name to Blackberry. It would be interesting to see if the name change does any good for them. A ray of hope for the brand is Blackberry 10. The phone has been launched in the first quarter of 2013.

Will the phone revive the blackberry market in India?

I have always heard people going gaga over any Android phone or any gadget from Apple. It has been quite some time since I have heard people getting excited for a Blackberry phone. The new model has definitely changed the scenario. Curiosity could also result from the fact that the phone is essential for the continued existence of RIM. It is said that the brand is targeting the smaller cities of India. Since its origin, the phone has been targeted at the office-going segment of the audience. An executive from the company said, “India has nearly 250 million youth averaging 24 years, which is entering the enterprise work environment.  They use multiple devices and are scouting platforms to access enterprise applications and social media seamlessly—thus driving the BYOD trend.” Online consumer reviews will bring out the dynamics of a brand in a market ruled by Apple, Google and other powerhouses.

Reviews on Blackberry suggest something exciting in the model

The operating phone of the system has been designed in such a way that the needs of the present day smart phone users are satisfied. The current crop of Blackberry mobile phone reviews state that the phone is not very user friendly and quick like the IPhone or various other android mobiles. The brand will surely not want such kind of a criticism for their next model. The company’s fall from their stature has been quite tragic. It is said, “RIM was once Canada's most valuable company with a market value of more than $80 billion in 2008, but the stock has plummeted since, from over $140 per share to around $8. Its decline evokes memories of Nortel, another former Canadian tech giant, which declared bankruptcy in 2009.”

Consumer reviews amazed at the innovation in the new Blackberry model

The phone has not been launched in India, but has received a favorable response across the globe. Some of the reviewers have said that the phone experience has been elevated to another level. It is said that the phone does not have a home button. “Applications keep running in the background, even when minimized. Gestures control almost every function.” A great deal of appreciation has been showered on the phone.  The phone uses a feature called Cascade that lets users open multiple tabs. So, if you are typing a nice Facebook message to someone special, and you receive an email from work, you can attend to that and not lose your precious words. The seamless usage of multiple applications makes the device a complete catch! I am sure once the phone launches in India, consumer ratings would be interesting to observe.

To sum up the positives:

·         The phone has an excellent display much better than rival brands

·         If you are a social media enthusiast, Blackberry hub will ensure that your profiles on all social media platforms are organized

·         If you dream of clicking a flawless picture, that aim can be attained due to the presence of a feature like Time-shift on the camera.

Blackberry has redeemed itself from all the criticism that it received for its previous models with Z10 and Q10. The brand also launched a phone with a keypad along with the new phone. It would be exciting to see the reception of the phone, when it is launched in United States and India. We will have to wait and watch to see if the phone is worth the burn in our pocket, or turns out to be like its predecessors. Blackberry mobile phone reviews hold the answer to the survival of the company.
