While Tracfone is a great service that can save you a bundle,Important information about reactivating your Tracfone. Articles it has a few details you must keep in mind, similar to all prepaid wireless carriers..

However, unlike other plans, Tracfone allows you to add both new minutes and service days you purchase to your remaining air-time minutes and service days, making it the most cost-effective solution for wireless calling on the market today.

With that in mind, however, you still must be sure that your phone does not pass the "service end date" which is constantly displayed on your phone. To ensure that you do not lapse into deactivation, you can purchase more minutes that include service days, for the bundle minute packages don't include service days along with them. Here is a list of the various minute amounts you can purchase, and their corresponding amount of service days.

Currently, Tracfone offers its website a 60, 120, 200 and 450 minute card all with 90 days of service. Additionally, they offer a 400 and 800 minute card that comes with 365 days of service (1 year). Obviously this is the easiest option to ensure your service does not expire and require reactivation. If your life is anything like mine, however, it may slip your mind to purchase enough days of service before your phone expires.

Now you're wondering, how do I reactivate my Tracfone? Has your Tracfone deactivated due to running out of service days? Never fear, I will help you get back to calling your friends in no time. If your phone service end date has come and gone, your phone number will be lost. There is no recourse for this, unfortunately, especially if you've had your same number for several years. Once your phone deactivates, you will lose you phone number forever, it cannot be reactivate. This is the bad news.

The good news is, if you reactive your Tracfone within 60 days of deactivation, Tracfone will restore the minutes you had remaining on your phone. However, you will still need to purchase additional service days no matter how many minutes are restored to you, to ensure your phone will not deactivate once again.

I recommend taking advantage of Tracfone's convenient value plan, which automatically adds both minutes and 30 service days to your account each month. There are three tiers to choose from, you can purchase 50 minutes for $9.99, 100 minutes for $19.99, and 150 minutes for $29.99 per month.

I also highly encourage you to start out by activating your Tracfone with the 800 minute card, which comes with double minutes for life. This will double the amount of minutes you get from the value plans, but keep the price the same! Now that's a deal.
