Temporary tattoos continue to fascinate the young and also the old.

Henna lasts long but eventually fades away, after a month or so. Some temporary tattoos are also painted on the skin using ink and stencils. These are easily removed by use of oil or alcohol based products. They may last up to a week.

There comes a time when one needs a tattoo just for an occasion then after that gets rid of it. For instance when attending fancy dress parties, when playing a role in a movie or play, festivals, or just for fun. In such situations temporary tattoos will do the trick. Plenty of celebrities apply temporary tattoos all the time in order to fit in without having to etch permanent tattoos on their bodies permanently. It would also be a good idea in case the design turns out not so appealing and if it turns out well it goes on to assist in making a good choice for a permanent one.Some adults will even go to the extent of paying a tidy sum of money for airbrushed temporary tattoos just to look good at a night club without having to go through the hustle and messy nature of permanent tattoos.

Being a form of expression, temporary tattoos may also be used to promote products, or worthy causes that need creation of awareness, without leaving a permanent mark on the skin. As such the temporary tattoos are displayed prominently and are larger and bolder. In any case all tattoos must never be hidden but displayed proudly.
