Estonia is a small Baltic country in the northern part of Europe, bordering Russia and Latvia. This region has been a crossing point of European history and culture for many centuries and there are numerous historical monuments, old cities, castles and mansions to enjoy. The calm country is a nice place to travel for people interested in cultural heritage and vacations.

In the north of Europe there is a stunning land of geographical variety and amazing cultural diversity. Tourists are attracted to Estonia because of its irresistible charm,Guest Posting hospitality, and quiet atmosphere.

Beautiful landscapes of the country of Estonia are considered to be among the most pristine places in Europe. Such places, like the picturesque steep river bank near Ahja Polva, attract thousands of tourists. Dissected by numerous lakes, forests and ravines, the picturesque Kotiorg Valley and the "sacred lake" Puhajarv south of Otepaa are recognized as the best centers for ecological leisure and adventure tourism. Excellent places for cycling are located in the vicinity of Tallinn, Parnu, Elva, Vandra, Narva, in the islands of Saaremaa and Hiiumaa. The best areas for hiking and canoeing include the sandy banks of the Ahja river with a variety of geological deposits, Endla Reserve and Sooma Reserve.

Tallinn is one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe. This settlement on the coast of the Gulf of Finland was
mentioned for the first time in the written sources of the ancient Estonians in 1154. The historic city center, the Old Town, is located on the hill and includes Toompea with many ancient cathedrals, medieval walls and turrets. One of the main attractions of the city is Raekoya Square with the Town Hall.

Narva, another big city, preserved its main attractions after the war. The most popular sights of this city include the medieval Narva Castle and the city fortifications of the 14th century.

It is interesting to combine a trip to Tallinn with visiting Ivangorod Castle and Narva Castle. Both majestic fortresses can be observed from the nearby bus station. A small cozy resort Narva-Joesuu is located northwards from Narva, in a picturesque pine forest on the Gulf of Finland. Dry sandy dunes, pine forests and the fresh sea air create a special healing microclimate, and the springs of mineral water give a chance to combine the rest with treatment. Wide sea beaches with fine white sand stretch for 13 km, and the picturesque river and the nearby wooden buildings complement the charm of this resort.

On the historical lands of the province of Viru, there are many equally interesting places, such as the Lookout Tower and the Memorial Cross in Sinimae, the crown jewel of the local landscape. West Coast is the land of unique architecture, sandy beaches, fresh air and warm sea. There are dozens of old fortifications, the ruins of medieval castles, fortified churches and monasteries. Thousands of tourists are attracted to Parnu and Haapsalu, known for their curative mud, traditional fishing villages in small islands, and ancient settlements, episcopal castles, nature reserves and national parks. This is a great place for water sports, diving and sailing, and numerous smaller islands are included in the UNESCO Biosphere Foundation.

The favorite habitat of migratory birds is the island of Hiiumaa, Gulf Kaina, Matsalu Reserve and south-eastern islands, which are among the best ornithological sites in Europe. Abruka, a tiny island with a little natural reserve, is located 6 km away from the southern coast of Saaremaa, dubbed the "Baltic mecca" for ecotourists. The site has a lot of clubs and riding schools. It also offers good conditions for sea and river fishing apart from the beautiful coastline and clean waters.

South Estonia is the "green heart" of the country with its wooded hills and sparkling streams, dozens of lakes surrounded by thick forests and small towns and villages full of national color. The capital of this region is Tartu often mentioned due to its 'Valley of the Nightingales".
