Sometimes in life one has to start packing and move. For many people this could be a frequent affair. People in transferable jobs are moving often unto a new place. For those not in for transfers moving can be troublesome if things go wrong, for such people choosing the right company is advisable.

The first step I would suggest whence you have to shift to another residence in the same town or elsewhere is to recollect all things small that are indespensible. Hence pack yourself or see that they are packed efficiently in proper containers with adequate packaging. Label the containers as fragile and add directions as to which side points upwards. It you have dismantled objects then secure small fittings, screws, but and bolts in small boxes and lable then if you wish not to spend hours in a refit. Then repack these boxes into a larger box and label them. Also wherever necessary use vaccum seals.

Although less fragile you should colect and pack books into larger cartons and seal them using wraps and cello tape.

Sell all things than can be purchased anew in your new location. This will help reduce transport cost and reduce damage that could possibly take place. Donate things for resuse if you have a philanthropic touch.

Try to reach your new home before the transport arrives and place the sensitive objects under your supervision. Unpack and then carefully place the items where they belong and are secure.
