Trance mediumship is the most advanced form of communication a medium can do to communicate with spirits from the other side.

While physical communication involves rapping,Trance Mediums Articles the moving of furniture or apparitions from spirits (or ghosts), mental mediumship involves pictures or sounds communicated from the spirit directly into the mediums mind. In trance communication, the mediums whole personality is replaced by that of the communicating spirit, which achieves a varying degree of control over the mediums speech, writing and entire neuromuscular apparatus.

The communication process is a partnership between the spirit and the medium. The spirit communicator has to use the medium’s mind and body, these will inevitably influence the communication to a greater or lesser degree. Depth of trance & experience will also help the process but there is still the possibility for unwanted influence from the mediums consciousness. The best way to minimize this influence is by putting aside their own pre-conceived thoughts and clear the mind,  to be used as an empty vessel for the spirit.

When mediums go into trance, they attune into their spiritual guide and contact the spirit who in turn represents the medium on the other side. When the spirit shares control of the mediums body, rather than receiving sounds or pictures into their conscious like mental mediums do, the spirit communicator speaks through the mediums muscles.

The medium does not travel outside the body and possessions from spirits are very rare incidents, so the whole process is quite safe.

The advantage of trance mediumship is that by allowing the spirit to control the mediums body directly, the spirit can manifest its real personality. This means that the survival of a deceased loved one can be proven to exist after death and that by interacting, we are able to see the same “person” as before when still alive, including mannerisms, memory and attitude.

Anybody reading reports about this type of mediumship, or visiting a trance séance, will agree that these trance communications cannot be attributed to imagination or fraud, and that the spirit we speak to is indeed the person that died. The scientific community is torn into believing this phenomena can only be attributed to either; messages from the afterlife or “Extra Sensory Perception”.

Trance mediumship requires the highest degree of psychical skill. Anybody wishing to do it for themselves must start a lifetime towards psychic development and has to have a relatively mature soul to start with. The first step comes in awareness of the energies all around us and in learning to manipulate the vibrations and frequencies involved, this would start us at the bottom of the ladder in terms of psychic development.
