With the holiday season just around the corner,Dodge Apparel: A Great Gift for the Holidays Articles you may be looking for the perfect gift for the car enthusiast in your life. You may be able to find the perfect idea online as there are sites that carry a wide variety of Dodge apparel and accessories so that loyal fans can literally wear their favorite car on their sleeve. Whether you have a father, husband, boyfriend, aunt or friend who is a muscle car fanatic, these products make great gift ideas. Just think of how happy your son would be wearing his new Challenger shirt at the Christmas dinner while chowing down mashed potatoes and gravy.

The muscle car is defined as being a mid-size car with a V8 engine, generally produced between 1965 and 1973, although updated versions of these classic favorites are still being produced today. Muscle cars became popular due to their sleek design, tough look, and of course the speed they offered. They also handled and performed well on the road and were relatively inexpensive at the time of their introduction.

The golden age of the muscle car occurred mostly during the 1960s and created a new generation of car enthusiasts with models like the Buick GS, Pontiac GTO, Ford Mustang, and of course, the Dodge Challenger and Charger. Some automotive historians trace the muscle car origins back even further to the 1949 Rocket 88, when Oldsmobile put a V8 engine in its model. In 1955, Chrysler, the company that owns Dodge, produced the classic C-300, which became the most powerful American manufactured car with the addition of the 300 horsepower Hemi.

As each car company began releasing their own variation of the muscle car, Dodge joined the competition, releasing the Challenger in 1970. Unfortunately, this was also around the same time that fuel prices started to rise and the economy went downhill. Luckily for Challenger fans, the car did not become extinct and is still produced. This is the mean looking retro model that is often seen on the road today.

Although the Challenger may be the most well-known model off the Dodge production line, other models include the Dodge Charger, Dodge Demon, Dodge Super Bee, Dodge Viper, and the Dodge Ram. No matter which model is the favorite, there is a Dodge apparel item that will fit the bill. A hat would be a welcomed gift as they’re a great way to show off brand loyalty. They can be worn to a family barbeque, a car show or while playing a round of golf. A t-shirt can be worn anywhere; except maybe to a wedding. There are lots of other accessories to go with the clothing. There are key chains, watches and jewelry to adorn your Dodge fans.

Muscle cars have become an American symbol and tradition and anyone who loves this type of vehicle would also enjoy sporting Dodge apparel or accessories. For an enthusiast there’s nothing better than attending a muscle car show and proving you’re a true fan of the Dodge brand.
