Back in 2018 classic legends reincarnated the JAWA brand by introducing the Jawa classic which is a replica to the original one and the Jawa 42,Jawa Perak Design,Ride Comfort,Top Speed, Price Articles which is a slightly more modern take to it apart from those two. the classic legends had a trick up their sleeve in the form of this gorgeous looking motorcycle called the Perak, and with the Perak, classic legends have created a niche in the sub 350cc segment a niche that is likely to remain untouched for the next few years.

Jawa Perak Design

The design now since the Perak is a bobber motorcycle one might think, that is based on the Jawa classic with parts like its seat and pillion footrest stripped off to reduce weight and enhance performance, but instead, Jawa has gone a step further and built the Perak on a new frame and new swing arm and the subframe. the flat seat on the classic is ditched for a tan brown single seat that is fixed to the mainframe, it neatly integrates a round tail lamp while the turn indicators are fitted on the large fender, adding to the Perak's dark themed custom-built look. is this matte black paint scheme with contrasting gold accents and pinstripes, then there is the slash-cut exhaust on either side and the bar and mirrors which again add credibility to the bobber styling. The Perak is well put together for the most part however there are a few areas which could do with better fit and finish, like the fitment of the exhaust then there are the open wires which connect the turn indicators and these are fitted with zip ties. but all the rest is one gorgeous-looking motorcycle. The Jawa getting astride the motorcycle first with the seat height of a mere 750 mm the Perak is a great fit for short riders, however, the position of the footpeg which is slightly rear set and higher up feels a bit unnatural and given the shape of the fuel tank which tapers towards, the seat there isn't much space to grip the tank completely either and the whole experience could be a bit cramped for taller riders, the handlebar is easy to reach and switchgear can be operated easily although these round bar and mirrors are too small to provide a wide rear view and intrude while holding on to the grips as for the seat it comes with soft cushioning that is perfect for short rides but tends to get cumbersome after a few hours of riding with a curb weight of 175 kg the Perak is a considerably light motorcycle

Jawa 350cc Engine

The Jawa Perak powering by a 334cc single-cylinder engine, manages to keep one entertained on the go it is larger than the 293 cc motor on the other models, and with 30 bhp and 32.7 nm on tap, it is 4 bhp and 4.2 nm more than siblings. the Jawa Perak exhaust note now with the bump in power figures there is an evident increase in grunt in the low and mid-range but we did find a flat spot after 120 kilometers per hour, where the motorcycle took its own sweet time to get to a top speed of 140 kilometers per hour, while there is a slight buzz of vibrations on the handlebar especially at the top end it is not at all hand numbing the Perak, also has enough to make quick overtakes and is also quite agile when moving through traffic and even with a longer wheelbase and fatter tires than its siblings the Perak will not disappoint if you chance on some twists. the 20 mm lower ground clearance you would end up scraping those exhaust pipes and would also have to be mindful while going over speed breakers.

Ride Comfort

The front end which comprises telescopic forks is the same as the other models and even though the suspension travel has decreased comparatively.it still behaves well over minor undulations however the rear mono-shock which is hidden under the seat has a different story to tell, with just 86 mm of travel the rear suspension sends jolts to the lower back at speeds anything over 60 kilometers per hour over minor bumps and can get quite unbearable on larger potholes nevertheless. the braking hardware on the Perak is picked up from the same parts bin as the other javas the setup which consists of a 280mm disc at the front and a 240mm disk at the rear of a good feel at the lever but could do with more biting power you get abs at both ends which kicks in too soon and seem intrusive at times fitted with the exact features as the classic and the 42 technology is in the paradox strong suit it skips the led lighting for the headlamp and turns indicators and you're left with dual-channel abs and a small digital screen fitted in the analog instrument cluster that only displays the ODO now this instrument cluster is mean to replicate the one on the original java. however it comes with the design flaw thanks to its flat placement it is impossible to see the bottom half of the speedometer,.and the digital display is difficult to read under direct sunlight so if you are into touring or have a pillion to ride with the Perak isn't your wisest choice and since there's barely any storage space it isn't very high on practicality either, but if you want a motorcycle that guarantees that attention every time you get on the road and tugs at your heartstrings each time you look at it there is nothing like the java Perak. with the low ground clearance and accessible power delivery, it is also a good option for new riders.

Jawa Perak Price

The Jawa Perak priced at 1.97 lakh ex-showroom it is 21000 rupees more expensive than the java classic, but for the premium, you get a bigger engine and a motorcycle that a sense of individuality
