The allure of flying private is obvious. Private flyers don’t have to undergo lengthy security procedures. It’s so much nicer to not have to take your shoes, jewelry or belt off. There is no need to worry about invasive x-ray machines.

There are also fewer delays with private travel and YOU are able to control your schedule. With private flights, there is no more racing to avoid missing a flight. It won’t leave without you! In many cases, you are even able to meet the pilot personally upon boarding.

Private planes utilize over 5,000 airports. Commercial planes utilize just about 500. You’ll have more freedom on your departure and arrival locations, making it faster and easier to get to and from the airport.

Many private aviation companies offer transportation to their clients that make it easier for them to get to and from the airport. Options vary from private cars and limousines to helicopter rides. Instead of dreading the time to get to or from the airport, these options make it luxurious and something to look forward to.

For example, Gotham Air in NYC offers helicopter rides to JFK airport. The rides are much more affordable than you’d imagine. At about $220 a ride, this is a way to start or end your trip with an enjoyable, sightseeing experience.

One of the toughest parts of travel is stress. Lines, security checks and traffic can all cut down on the enjoyment of a trip. Instead of your trip being about the journey, it becomes just about the destination. For those of us who travel frequently for business, making the journey more enjoyable is key. After all, arriving at your destination refreshed and relaxed is key to having a more successful trip.

When flying private, your bags are loaded directly on the plane. There are usually no weight restrictions on your luggage and odd shaped packages are easily accommodated. Your luggage will not be routed to another plane, handled again or mislabeled. Having no fear of losing your luggage or having it damaged is a huge benefit to those who travel privately.

If you are looking for an experience instead of just a flight, private flying is for you. It’s confidential, time efficient and so very enjoyable.
