Many consumers have purchased one of these vehicles in recent years and aren’t ready to buy a new one just yet, but are waiting for the next remodel of a vehicle before they get a new one. For these consumers it can be very frustrating not knowing when the next remodels of our favorite cars will likely be developed, so here is a run down of all the planned upcoming changes to GMC and Buick vehicles!
GMC has many plans in the near future for its vehicles. As we already know there are the recent 2012 Savanas, Terrains, Sierras, Acadias, and Yukons. But one little known fact about the recent GMC remodels is that this is likely going to be the last year for the GMC Canyon. The compact truck has been a durable and reliable vehicle for many over the years, but GMC has already announced plans to shut down the plant that produces Canyons. Closing the line therefore seems eminent.
The Sierra on the other hand is poised for a 2013 remodel. The most likely change to this already fuel efficient vehicle is even more fuel efficiency. With growing industry standards in mileage GMC knows how to meet the demands of its consumers and produce a new vehicle that brings even greater fuel economy. Consumers can expect a new kind of engine from the Sierra in order to make sure that the vehicle lasts longer than ever before!
Many of the other GMC models are planned for a 2014 remodel, like the Acadia. The Acadia has been selling strong recently, and GMC wants to make sure that when they remodel this vehicle they do it right. The Savana, Sierra, Yukon, and Yukon XL are also planned for 2014 remodels.
The most likely change for the Savana will be an increase in fuel efficiency with the new standards across the industry. Otherwise there isn’t much expected change in the Savana. The Sierra is also expected to be remodeled in 2014, though no word yet on what this update will entail. The Yukon line is also up in the air. There is definitely a chance that it will be remodeled in 2014, but there is no certainty that the Yukon line will be continued. The GMC Yukon XL however is likely to receive a remodel, one which also focuses on greater fuel efficiency and fuel economy.
But what about the Buick vehicles? Many of America's loyal Buick customers are also clamoring for new information on the next remodels of these luxury cars. Many of the Buick vehicles are facing their most recent redesigns right now, in the 2012 model year. The LaCrosse, the Regal, and the Verano have all faced recent changes for the better.
Some of the great features of these recent remodels also focus on fuel efficiency, a hot topic right now in the auto industry. The LaCrosse eAssist has brought Buick its first step in hybrids, having a small electric motor combined with a standard gas engine. The new Regal GS has been redesigned for its sportiest look yet, making it all about high speeds and a cool look. And the Verano remodel has been all about style and class, putting the luxury in “luxury car.”
As for other Buick models it is estimated that there will be a new Buick introduced in 2013 that will be a small crossover vehicle. It is likely that the vehicle will be similar to the Verano. It is also estimated that there will be a remodel of the Enclave starting in 2014.
