Ambit Energy today named Jim Timmer as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Timmer will also serve as a member of Ambit’s executive management team. Mr. Timmer is a seasoned executive with more than two decades of experience in senior finance and operational roles. Mr. Timmer has served as Chief Financial Officer of airBand Communications, Birch Telecom and Excel Communications, a $1.6 billion entity

While at Excel,Ambit Energy Announces Jim Timmer as New Chief Financial Officer Articles Mr. Timmer also served as Interim Chief Operating Officer and was instrumental in formulating direct sale compensation plans. Prior to joining Excel, Mr. Timmer served as Vice President of Finance at Verizon, a $26 billion entity, where he held various leadership roles over a 20 year period.
