Dato’ Vijay Eswaran was awarded an honorary degree, a Doctorate of Management from the Swiss Management Center University (SMC).
The founder and executive chairman of QI group was speechless at this joyous moment. Just before receiving the honorary degree, he expressed his dream to see a network marketing degree one day. It was a noteworthy moment.
This passionate leader co-founded a multilevel marketing company in 1998 that has eventually grown to a mammoth proportion, the QI Group. This e-commerce based conglomerate has businesses in travel, media, telecommunications, luxury products, wellness, training, and corporate investments.
Dato’ Vijay Eswaran is well known speaker and has spoken at management and business forums such as the sixth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in India and the World Economic Forum. He is especially known for his inspiring speeches on personal life management philosophy. He has built the Vijayaratnam Basis, in his father’s honour, to continue the philanthropic activities that were started 60 years ago by his father, Lt. Mr. S. Vijayaratnam in Malaysia. Through This foundation, he has made significant individual donations to people and charitable trusts from all over the world including orphanages, religious and cultural organizations and individuals who were in need.
His first book was published in 2007. It elucidates his personal life management philosophy and his habit of starting each day with an hour of silence. He has also created an interactive program called the Thought of the Day, or TOD Program. His second book, In the Thinking Zone, aassemblage of reflections on life, was released in May 2008. His third book, 18 Stepping Stones, was launched in 2010. On the Wings of Thought, a collection of his photography endeavours was released in 2011.
