This maintenance depends upon traffic on floor and use of it. There is average re-oiling of floor after every 3 to 4 years. Big disadvantage of this floor is that it never shows resistance against fluid spills.

In lacquered wood floor wood, become waterproof which become effective and show resistance against fluid spills. These floors do not require any kind of maintenance without just little sweep and cleaning. Big disadvantage of this floor is that once it tears off or damage from any corner then it is impossible to repair and replacement becomes necessary for it. Now choice of floor for your home depends upon place where you are going to install or fit it and what kind of hardships and conditions it will bear. Now think about spots of oil or liquid on your floor, which will look very bad and become difficult to wash out. If you want to save your floor from these kinds of spots then lacquered floor is the best option. If you want wood floor in your kitchen or place where bowl of dog is present then lacquered floor is again best choice for these places. Oiled wood floors are only good in offices and conference halls.
