Mudd Jeans is a brand of jeans that markets to young girls, teenagers, and women. Many loved Mudd jeans not only because of its trend setting styles and fashionable collection of clothing lines, but also because of its cost. For $40 US dollars, anyone can avail on what Mudd can provide its devotees.

Like any normal jeans brand they come in white Khaki, black, and blue. They also have a wide variety of products other than jeans including purses, and shoes.

The Mudd brand became popular in 1995 when they introduced their affordable flare-leg jean which was a popular style at the time. This hip-hugger style first became popular in the 1960’s and came back again in the 1980’s. They got their name because they literally hug the hip. Instead of sitting on your waist, they rest on your hips. Today, the brand has expanded to include shoes, intimates, eyewear, bags, hats, and jewelry as well as a wide array of clothing products.

Because of the popularity and huge demands for the Mudd jeans, it quickly got the attention of Iconix. And in 2006 Mudd was bought by Iconix Brand Group who owns various fashion and home brands. Under new ownership Mudd has continued to expand their brand and has introduced “Mudd Girls Move the World” which features real girls and their stories about helping out in their community.
