This scope is the Nikon Pro Staff 3-9 x rifle scope,Nikon Prostaff Rifle Scope. Articles and it is 12.4 inches in length, while having a weight of one pound. By far this is not one of the more light weight scopes available, however it is also not the most heavy one out there. The objective lens is 40 mm, and you will need to order rings because they are not included. The magnification of the scope ranges from 3x to 9x, with the clarity and resolution being awesome at all mag levels. You can really get a great look at the image before you take your best shot.

Regarding the optics on this scope, the barrel of the scope is nitrogen filled, and the lenses are multi coated as well as being O ring sealed. That is what i am talking about when i say fog proof, dirt proof, and yes water proof also. On top of that, it means that this scope offers awesome clarity to the point where you have no problem at all counting the parts of what ever your eye is trained on. The eye relief on this scope is a spacious 3.6 inches and that gives the user more than enough space to avoid any injuries.

As for the gathering of light with this scope, Nikon says it is at 98%, and that appears to be correct. The scope does really transmit plenty of light which offers a bright and very detailed image of what you are seeing. Truly awesome results are to be had with the light gathering of this rifle scope. As for the field of view, at 3x mag, it offers a nearly 34 feet, and when the scope is at 9x mag, you are given 11.8 feet. This is an excellent scope to have out in the field, and it gives an awesome view so that you can easily locate whatever target you intend to find. Then is becomes no problem at all to dial in your shot.

Last comments will be about mounting the scope. When you have obtained the correct set of rings, the scope becomes quite easy to mount. All it will take you is a few minutes to attach the rings and then you would just go ahead and mount the Nikon scope at the rail of your rifle. Then when you have it mounted, it is a snap to go ahead and adjust the scope so that you have an awesome view for when you go ahead and sight it in. The scope is made of aluminum that is air craft grade, and is quite a durable item. Should last for years and years to come.

Product retails for around $150.
