A bed and breakfast is a sleeping accommodation for a night and a meal in the morning,What Makes a Great Bed and Breakfast? Articles provided in guest houses and lodges.  It is a convenient type of accommodation that one can stay at.  The main difference between a bed and breakfast and a hotel is that the owners of a bed and breakfast see their patrons as guests, while hotels may see their patrons as customers. Many bed and breakfast owners will go out of their way to make sure their home adheres to many levels of comfort.  This article shall briefly explain the two important requirements that are sure to make guests happy when they stay at a bed and breakfast.  These are “a comfortable bed” and “a nutritious breakfast”.

It is important that a bed and breakfast accommodation ensures that all their beds are comfortable.  It is important that a bed is comfortable because it is important to sleep.  When we sleep we may seem at the surface to be completely inactive.  This is far from true.  While the conscious portion of our mind is completely off and shutdown, the subconscious part of our mind is a giant that never sleeps.  It continues to organize our memories and our experiences and make sense of our thoughts.  As we sleep, our brain creates new nerve cells, eliminates outdated ones and reaffirms other ones.  Also, good hormones such as serotonin, endorphins and dopamine get replenished while we rest since they are depleted while we are awake and active.  Toxins that accumulate while we are busy and awake are also flushed from our brains as we rest.  That is why we feel refreshed and rejuvenated when we wake up.  It is important that a great bed and breakfast ensures that they have comfortable beds so that their clients can indulge in restful and reenergizing sleep.

A nutritious breakfast is also an important ingriedient that makes a great bed and breakfast.  Breakfast foods should be rich in key nutrients such as folate, calcium, iron, B vitamins and fibre. Breakfast provides a lot of your day's total nutrient intake. In fact, people who eat breakfast are more likely to meet their recommended daily intakes of vitamins and minerals than people who don't.  Two good examples of nutritious and healthy breakfast options are cooked oatmeal topped with almonds together with dried cranberries and whole-wheat tortilla filled with vegetables, salsa and low-fat shredded cheese.

In conclusion, a great bed and breakfast accommodation should always provide a comfortable bed and a nutritious breakfast that will fuel their guests.  It is true that a productive day begins with comfortable sleep on a quality bed and a balanced breakfast that contains all the nutrients that will allow one to be active and productive.
