In India good number of young, energetic peoples are available, but with little employability potential. Earn & Learn training program is carved out exclusively for those candidates who are qualified but not skilled according to company requirements. This NEEM Scheme converts the unskilled youths to skilled workforces. And at the same time they can earn while learning. They have talent, and merit, but can’t afford higher education. In this program, students will undergo On The Job Training (OTJT) in concerned industries, where they will work to gain practical knowledge and experience.

Earn and learn program with on the job training can be good opportunity for unskilled youths to acquire industry standard skills and expertise. Thus youth become independent while learning itself. They gain quality work experience from reputed organizations. It will help unemployed youths to build skills through Learning by doing and Learning while earning along with access to practical skills.

 

Indian Govt. with the help of AICTE developed and deployed a win-win program called ‘Earn and Learn’ under NEEM Scheme. It is a work and study scheme which gives a head-start in career development to students from villages / semi-urban areas. This Earn & Learn program is that initiative which bridge the gap between the Industry requirements & the youth who are unskilled practically.

 

This program can be availed by anyone who wants to improve their living standard and is in the age bracket of 18 to 24. The trainees gets valuable work experience that leads a better Job progression and acceptance by the Industries. The trainees also get some remuneration. The neem agents committed to build world-class skills including a mind-set of best-in-class quality,Earn and Learn Using NEEM Scheme Articles benchmark productivity, safety and discipline. NEEM agent shall pay all enrolled NEEM trainees a stipend which shall be at par with the prescribed minimum wage for unskilled category. Remuneration shall be paid as a single consolidated amount. Apart from monthly stipend the essential facilities such as canteen, insurance etc will be given to each student of on job training as per company policy.

 

Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ initiatives will focus on building up the technical skill levels of fresh students and create industry-ready, skilled candidates. At the end of the course they may be employed by the same company or free to do job in another company. It is a win-win situation for both the student & the Industry. After completion of On Job Training & working experience students becomes a preferred choice of any recruiter in the coming year. The trainees become economical independence as he receives a stipend.

 

The trainee will be able to explore his / her subject preferences and develop it into a career. After completion of the NEEM training candidates will get course completion certificate. By this certificate they are able to do job in their preferred company. The trainees will be enrolled online course for soft skills, English and computers. For students, internships provide the much-needed exposure to the industry and hands-on work experience,. They can get a chance to work on real equipments & in real work culture.

 

These jobs help the youth in building professional skills, dignity of work, customer relationship and other aspects of business. Today, the number of people who are exploring internships has risen sharply. Earn & Learn program also have become desirable since they give an edge over other students and help in being really sure about what they want their careers. This paid internship attracts the present generation since like to explore and try new things before decision on long term plans.

 

We need to create awareness among student community that skilled workforce earn lot more than the other professionals. The formal and informal sectors of the employed category will be provided skill upgrade options through credential based educational programs.
