Utilising the impressive Android operating system along with a powerful Qualcomm processor, the Motorola Backflip provides ample power to host a long list of impressive features.  This unique handset combines a QWERTY keyboard and touchscreen navigation of the MOTOBLUR user interface.

The Motorola Backflip measures 108x 53x 15.3 mm making it perfectly proportioned for use with two hands when using the keyboard or with one hand when using the touch screen.  Its light weight of 133 g also makes it a pocket friendly handset.

The Motorola Backflip provides excellent display quality of the on screen imagery making it perfect for viewing photos and video files.  This is thanks to the 3.1 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen boasting the ability to display up to 256K colours within a pixel layout of 320x 480 pixels.  The screen features an accelerometer sensor which automatically rotates the user interface dependent upon the orientation of the phone meaning it can be viewed in both portrait and landscape forms making the Motorola Backflip ideal for viewing video files in what is effectively widescreen format.

The internal phonebook within the Motorola Backflip can store a seemingly endless number of entries and fields and boasts the popular Photocall feature.  This allows a photo to be assigned to a particular contact within the phonebook and this is in turn displayed on screen whenever that person calls.  A micro SD slot is provided with a pre-installed 2 GB memory card for storage of data such as media files and documents; however this can be expanded by installing a card of up to 32 GB which is sure to cater for the needs of all but the most demanding users.

Many different users are catered for thanks to the high level of everyday functionality and versatility provided by the Motorola Backflip.  This is thanks to a long list of additional features and applications ranging from a versatile internal media player for social networking integration.  A number of pre-installed games and to the entertainment options whilst features such as an organiser and document viewer are sure to appeal to business users.

The Motorola Backflip features a five mega pixel camera which, thanks to its high pixel resolution, delivers high quality snapshots with the minimum of fuss thanks to the inclusion of Autofocus and an LED flash.  Geo-tagging is provided which functions thanks to GPS and records the location at which a photo was taken.  Of course the camera can also shoot video and this is in CIF quality at a rate of 30 frames per second offering an alternative method of image capture.

Thanks to the unique and somewhat quirky appearance of the Motorola Backflip along with its impressive list of specifications, it is easy to see the appeal of this Android powered Smartphone.
