The everyday functionality of the Nokia X6 is very good,The Nokia X6 Is A Versatile Handset Articles thanks to its list of additional features and applications. The media player is versatile, supporting a variety of video and music file formats.  A stereo FM radio player and a variety of pre-installed games offer additional entertainment features. Also included are T9 predictive text input, photo editor, and voice command/dial.

Navigation is through the use of a 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touch screen.  This provides great quality of on screen display thanks to a pixel layout of 360x640, displaying up to 16 million colours. The screen itself is actually manufactured from scratch resistant glass, so it is protected from everyday bumps and knocks. An accelerometer sensor senses when the handset has been tilted and rotates the screen accordingly.

Weighing in at 122 grams, the Nokia X6 measures 111x51x13.8mm making it light weight and slim enough to comfortably hold and use on the move. The appearance of the phone is simplistic and uncluttered with a modern design.

Users can customise their alert types by utilising MP3 music files as ringtones, and by downloading polyphonic ringtones. Of course, ringing works alongside vibration to alert to incoming calls and messages. A 3.5mm audio jack as well as a built in speakerphone system are the included options for hands free talking.

Class 32 EDGE and GPRS provide the X6 with its primary means of connecting to cellular networks. In order to connect to the internet, 3G coverage utilises a HSDPA connection at speeds of up to 3.6 Megapixels per second being available. Wi-Fi connectivity also provides a much faster internet browsing experience by taking advantage of the signal given off by local wireless internet routers. Bluetooth v2.0 and micro USB v2.0 provide connectivity to other phones and computers in order to carry out tasks such as transferring media files.

The Nokia X6 is equipped with an impressive digital camera boasting 5 Megapixels (2592x1944 pixel resolution). This takes excellent quality photographs as well as the ability to shoot video. Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, dual LED flash and video light features all add to the versatility and functionality of this camera.

Whilst most new handsets offer the use of a micro SD slot to accommodate a memory card for storage of data such as music tracks and video clips, the X6 does not. This is because a whopping 32 GB of internal storage is provided, eliminating the need for a SD slot.

Given its great multimedia features and appealing aesthetics, it is easy to see why the Nokia X6 has proven a popular handset since its recent release, and this popularity looks set to continue.
