Mozilla Firefox contributes to almost 25% of the market share all over the world. What boosted the market share of Mozilla were many extra features which were added by Firefox for the first time such as tabbed browsing,Mozilla postpones Firefox 3.6 update plan Articles spelling checking facility, live bookmarking and private browsing. In addition, Firefox browser could run on many different operating systems apart from mostly used Microsoft Windows like OS X, Linux, and Free BDS. It is an open source browser and is also popularly known as FX or FF.

Released on Sep 29, 2011, Mozilla Firefox 7.0.1 has been the latest and the most stable version of Firefox till now. But the official updating of Mozilla Firefox 3.6 to 7.0.1 has been postponed. The release manager Christian Legnitto who was with MAC OS X revealed that they have postponed the release until a test being performed on a release server is completed. He wrote on his BlogSpot account that they want to make sure that the release server has enough capacity to release the updates. According to him, the problem of server overloading is due to Firefox sync, a service that keeps the bookmarks and other tab settings online. He has revealed that once their testing is performed and they are convinced that the release servers are capable enough, they will announce the dates of official release of Firefox 7.0.1 in advance.

When Firefox 7.0.0 was released, many new features came into picture like inbuilt popup blocker which were far safer and secure than latest IE and Opera, and much better than many more paid utilities. New features like RSS Feed and history view have been developed with greater efficiency. Firefox is also lighter in weight in comparison to IE and this is hoped to get better with the release of new 7.0.1. We can hope that the Firefox works well towards the undeveloped sections of the new version. Even the download manager needs to be upgraded a little bit since it is not that effective as it should be. Let’s look forward and hope that the date is announced soon.
