For Windows 7,8,10 or Vista.

  • Close the QuickBooks Desktop Application
  • Right click on ‘My Computer’ and choose ‘Manage’ option
  • On the left side click ‘Services and Applications’
  • Double click on the ‘Services’ option
  • Now search the Intuit QuickBooks FCS service from the list
  • Go to the ‘General Tab’ and click the start-up type drop-down menu
  • Click ‘Manual’ and then Click Apply
  • Now click the ‘Start button’ and press OK
  • Now open the QuickBooks Desktop and download product updates
  • Finally, the payroll tax tables should be updated

For Windows XP.

  • Close the QuickBooks Desktop Application
  • Right click on ‘My Computer’ and choose ‘Manage’ option
  • Now from the Computer Management screen click Services and Applications drop down list
  • Click Services and search for Intuit QuickBooks
  • Double click the Intuit QuickBooks FCS service
  • Go to the General tab, click the Startup Type drop down menu and choose Manual
  • Click OK and open QuickBooks
  • Now open the QuickBooks Desktop and download product updates
  • Finally, the payroll tax tables should be updated
