Since 1970 Mace has been the leader in innovative defensive sprays. Their full line of products can fulfill the needs of anyone who needs personal self-defense. Mace is the most trusted name in women’s self-defense items and nonlethal self-defense products.

Mace uses the byproduct of the cayenne pepper,Guest Posting oleoresin capsicum (OC Pepper), as its main ingredient.  When OC Pepper is applied to the skin it causes intense burning and pain and can cause breathing difficulties such as choking and coughing. The effects of the OC sprays are not permanent and cannot cause death to the assailant. What the sprays do, is disable an attacker long enough for the victim to escape and summons the police.

The most popular product is Mace Pepper Spray. This is an OC Spray in an aerosol container.  The spray should be shaken and then dispensed by placing the thumb or forefinger on the trigger for 2 to 3 seconds, aiming toward the head & eyes. This will cause the eyes to slam shut and intense burning sensation for about 45 minutes. Caution should be made not to spray into a strong wind to prevent getting the spray blown back in your face. These sprays are offered in various sizes and colors to suit your personal needs. They can be carried in your pocket or your belt and have a shelf life of up to four years.

Mace Pepper Guard sprays combines OC spray and an invisible UV marking dye that can help police identify your attacker. Just spray and get away! With the use of a ultra-violet light police can positively identify your attacker when apprehended.   All personal mace sprays have flip top safety cap to prevent accidental discharge.

Mace Pepper Gel is a mixture of maximum strength OC Pepper, invisible UV marking dye and a gel carrying agent. This gel is dispensed from an aerosol can and has maximum stopping power, blind-folding the attacker, while having reduced blow back from wind. This Pepper Gel has a range of up to 25 feet.

Mace 10% Pepper Foam covers an assailant's face, making it difficult to see. When the attacker attempts to wipe away the foam, the pepper is ground into the face and eyes. The ultimate in home or auto protection. High powered model features flip-top safety cap. 115 gram unit, jet foam sprays 8-10 feet.

The Mace Triple Action Products contain OC Spray, CN Tear Gas and an invisible UV marking dye. The advantage of Mace Triple Action is that you don't necessarily have to spray your attacker directly in the face, even if you miss and hit them in the chest, the tear gas will immediately start to affect them.

The Mace Pepper Gun provides the most accurate non-lethal self-defense pepper spray dispersal available. This device will give you long-distance protection up to 20 feet, and the gun can be used at any angle to the intruder. What happens is as you pull the trigger an LED beam helps you aim and place a target on the assailant while pulling the trigger further sends a high-power stream of OC Pepper to the target. The gun is refill with pre-filled cartridges. This gives you not only accuracy, but convenience in a long-distance weapon, with the potency of disabling Mace OC Pepper Spray.

Pepper spray represents a form of nonlethal self-defense that has become one of the most popular self-defense products in the world. They can be purchased in sizes small enough for a pocket or purse, with a strap for holding while jogging and in sizes large enough for home or business defense. Many of the models have finger grip dispensers, and these are helpful for holding and using in the dark.

Pepper spray is legal in all states of the United States, but local restrictions may apply to purchasing and carrying pepper spray. Pepper spray usually has to be shipped by ground transportation due to the aerosol container and cannot be shipped outside of the United States without special permit by the Federal Government. In most areas where pepper spray is restricted, these restrictions may be removed by either registering yourself with local authorities or obtaining a firearms registration permit. Some states restrict the size and mixture of pepper sprays and Mace makes special products for these states. Sellers of Pepper spray will make you aware of these laws and restrictions, but to be safe you should check your local laws yourself.

Safety:Strong irritant, keep out of reach of children. Read instructions and first-aid directions included with your Pepper Spray prior to use. If accidentally exposed to Pepper Spray, remove contaminated contact lenses and clothing immediately, flush effected areas with plenty of cool water and expose to fresh air as soon as possible. Spray canisters are under pressure, do not puncture or incinerate.
