With nearly 3,000 contact hours, NYCC's Master of Science Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine provides an in-depth curriculum in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, acupressure, Oriental medicine theories, history and philosophy, Tuina (Chinese medical massage), Qigong, moxibustion (cupping), Chinese dietary therapy, and Western science and biomedicine. Accomplished candidates will have learned fundamentals in Oriental medicine theories, and be able to assess and diagnose patients with Oriental medicine regimens, including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional counseling, and other associated therapies. Students who complete this program are prepared to apply for state licensure.
Additional academic opportunities offered through New York Chiropractic College include its Doctor of Chiropractic program (D.C. Program), applied clinical nutrition (Master of Science Degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition), diagnostic imaging (Master of Science Degree in Diagnostic Imaging), and Bachelor of Professional Studies program.
