Cause of the disease is relevant only when we deal with problems of the body while the problems relating to mind......

Managing disease of the body versus managing disease of the mind has to have different / dissimilar approaches otherwise the treatment may not be effective and nor will offer any remedy/cure.  Why should the treatment methods be separate for the problems relating to the mind and the body?  The problems of mind and body can be broadly identical in nature and as well as the consequences also.

Disease of the body requires proper diagnosis and root cause analysis.  Once the diagnosis is made and the cause is identified,Managing the cause vs. consequence, mind vs. body Articles the treatment approach followed will have two aspects viz., repairing the damage and eliminating the cause.   The treatment should include elimination of the cause also as the persistent cause would never allow treatment success despite the drug being the best and most effective.

The above treatment method is same for all most all the diseases in general.  This is how the treatment for any diseases of the body would goes.   Only the root cause analysis and its management alone ensure proper cure.  Symptomatic treatment alone is not considered to be the best approach/method as far as problems/diseases relating to the human body are concerned.

How different is the treatment approach in dealing problems relating to the mind when compared to the body?  The psychological or problems relating to the mind also require diagnosis and root cause analysis.  But the treatment methods are different.   Eliminating the cause may be difficult in most instances and such an approach may not be wise also.   The primary focus of the treatment should be on the disease per se than the cause.

Assume that someone is always scared off rats or cockroaches or any other creature.   In such circumstances, the treatment approach should not and cannot be aimed at eliminating rats or cockroaches or any other creatures/various causes, as it may be difficult and simultaneously unwise also.  Instead of identifying and hunting down the cause, courage and counseling should be given to the sufferer to overcome the fear.  That is the only and the best method in dealing diseases relating to the mind. The diagnosis of the disease and the root cause analysis has only very limited use or purpose and the same would seldom help either in the prognosis or therapy of the disease.

Only through awareness and understanding, the impact and its manifestations can be nullified or be managed.

Why different approaches are to be followed to deal problems of the mind and the body?  Why the cause of the problem is least relevant in the treatment of the mind whereas the proper identification of the cause alone is the best treatment approach for problems of the body?

People generally believe that the world outside the body is very difficult to manage than the world beneath or inside the body.  But in reality, the world within each of us is more difficult to manage than the world outside.  That is why the treatment methods are different.
