Your wedding invitations are designed so that all of your family and friends will “save the date” and be at the venue. However, making sure that everyone gets the invitation is one thing while having them show up is another. Life is different for everyone and with the times being busier today than ever before it can be quite easy for someone to forget about the invitation that you sent, finding themselves with other commitments that have been made for that day.

The next step is your official invitations. They will need to be close enough to the date so that people will start to prepare, yet far enough ahead so that they can plan accordingly to avoid any other commitments for that particular day.
