Wooden Block - the Significant Part of Humankind’s Evolution

The Wooden Block is actually a single wooden sheet used as a drumming apparatus. It’s a tiny piece of incision drum and if it’s struck by stick then a unique kind of drumming sound is yielded. The usage of Wooden Block is mostly seen in East Asia. Diverse pattern of Wooden Block is used there for drumming purposes. It may be a tiny wooden stick that can be easily held by hand. Sometimes that may be in giant shape and therefore quite immovable. These have the name as temple blocks. A large log is used to swing this giant shaped temple block for yielding drumming sound. Normally, tiny piece of Wooden Block is used for slit drums, whereas for log drums hollowed logs are used. The slit drums are materialized by bamboo. The people of Africa and Pacific Islets are mostly seen using this slit drum. Most of the Buddhist Asian countries including China, Vietnam, Korea, and Japan use a specific type of rounded woodblock. It generates sounds on striking it through the wooden stick. This fish shaped rounded woodblock has the name as muyu.

The woodblock has long been associated with human. History tells us that stone and wood materialized the man’s first weapon. During the initial stage of evolution of humankind, diverse range of accessories including spades, arrows, and other tiny claws to exterminate small beasts were made of woodblock. Nowadays, wood is being used at a huge rate for diverse purposes ranging from enlighten and sizzling the room to making furniture including sofa, bed etc.

The Wooden Block is a cuboid sized wooden sheet and it can be of different sizes. It can be used as unit block. Multiple numbers of unit blocks together can construct anything that one can necessitate to use. They are polished and painted before using for any purposes. Normally, the color shades used for painting the block are determined by the applications it’ll be used for. IF it’s used as a kid’s toy then bright colors including red and green are ideal as they’re attractive to kids. Whereas, if it’s used as the basic element for constructing statue or building then other colors can be used for painting. Therefore, it can be clearly visible that apart from diverse range of shapes it poses wide varieties of polishing colors too. Moreover, the edges of Wooden Block are normally smooth especially when it’s used as kid’s toy series just to protect them from getting ill-treated.
