I have just realized that there are a lot more things I could inform all you tattoo-less people on,What It’s Like To Get A Tattoo Part Two Articles who are out there wondering what all is involved with getting a tattoo. To recap, yes it hurts to get one and yes you will experience some pain afterwards. But there is a lot more to it. Another question that I often get asked but simply crossed my mind yesterday is “Do you bleed when you get a tattoo?” The answer to that question is yes. I bleed a little bit when I got both of my tattoos. Of course I would imagine that every person is different and the size and location on your body will determine how much you may or may not bleed.

Another little bit of information you should know is that your skin will be very red and irritated after you get a tattoo and this is normal so don’t worry. The redness will go away within an hour or so. Also note that your tattoo artist will more than likely cover up your tattoo with some sort of bandage before you leave this is just to protect it. Oh and don’t freak out when you take the bandage off and see a little bit of pus on it, that too is normal. Also be sure to put neosprine on it after you have had your tattoo for an hour this helps the healing process and you should do this for the first week and a half to two weeks after you get your tattoo.

Stay tuned until tomorrow and I will give some tips on how to take care of your tattoo and keep it looking as good as it did the day you got it.
