We spend a great part of our life at work and as today offices are probably most popular places where people work,Business Development: in the Company or at Home? Articles they (offices) become essential elements of our everyday life. Anyone who is spending 6 or even more hours in the office daily knows all aspects, both positive and negative, of such jobs and can describe office life quite vividly. Actually, a lot of people point to the fact that they get frustrated because of sitting for a long time in the office, listening to constant orders and doing the same things from day to day. That is why some people make out crucial decisions to quit their job and start their own business at home.

Indeed, it may seem quite an attractive idea to be your own boss and handle everything by yourself without weekly meetings with administration and fears of being late, etc. You don’t have to get up early in the morning and use transport, you don’t get into traffic jams. Besides, if you don’t actually like your colleagues or don’t feel happy about need to communicate with them – working at home removes this option. You now don’t have to listen to rumors or stupid jokes. You don’t depend on company’s dress-code or corporate ethics. However, that is only one side of the overall problem. If you choose to start your work at home, you have to think about another side as well and take into consideration as many aspects as possible in order to make a right decision. If you do not have some supervisor, you do not have anyone to blame for your failures. You make decisions but you respond for consequences as well. More freedom means more obligations as well. When you work in the office you do not think about resources because it is all provided by your company, whereas if you start working for yourself, you will think of paper used for printing, stationary, etc. You will have to learn a lot of new responsibilities, like financing aspect, management and others. If you, for example, decide to work on-line, you might choose seo copywriting business. But that means that you have to learn all aspects of this business. You have to make some contacts and deal with various professional things, like web counters or seo tools. There is one more aspect necessary to mind. You still should separate your work from your home. It is better if you manage to rent some separate building or room, because when work and home get too integrated, it may cause various problems. Besides, everyone needs socializing, which accompanies our work. If you decide to have your work at home, you should somehow find alternatives for social communication. In fact, much depends on the type of work you choose for yourself. If it is freelance writing, you will have to contact some people and that will make your life brighter and you will not feel depraved compared to office work.

Anyway, each attempt, even if not successful, means experience. That is why in most cases it is right to try several options for you. One may enjoy working at home a lot, considering that it is the best possible option; while the other might long to return to the office and continue previous activities. Both alternatives have their pros and cons and one can hardly elaborate some golden rule for anyone. Depending on your individual tastes and inclinations, you will choose what is best for you, but trying can turn really fruitful.
