Roy became has city in 1937 and has since grown to have 11,027 households and a population of 35,048.  16% of the people rent and median income is $58,787.  Roy exceeds the national average in snowfall and receives close to 78 inches annually.  Rainfall, on the other hand, is less than the national average at about 19 inches each year.  Temperature is estimated to be a high of 91 in the warmer months and a low of 18 in the colder months.

Even though Roy isn’t a huge city, there are a lot of fun things to do such as going to the aquatic center or enjoying one of the many parks with amenities such as tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, soccer fields, baseball diamonds and more.  For those who like to golf, one golf course in the city and there are several more in other cities just minutes away.  Yearlong recreation can also be enjoyed when taking advantage of nearby ski resorts and lakes.
