Buckhead Apartments--Moving made Easy

I came to Buckhead with stars in my eyes. I wanted to be in the heart of Atlanta, with all its offerings at my fingertips. I wanted to become immersed in the community quickly, and establish a routine that would set my new life in motion.

Many things are appealing in Buckhead. There are the restaurants and bars, the public parks and friendly residents. The pace of life is both riveting and relaxed, so it's up to you how you want to experience your time.

But Buckhead presented transitional challenges. It was an exciting place to call home; it was an opportunity to meet new people and experience new things. But Buckhead was also filled with challenges. These challenges are part of moving. Sure, it was important to meet new people, to find a great apartment. But I was only focusing on the end result. And the process of meeting those people -- where and how I would meet them -- and the process of securing my new apartment -- how and where I would find it -- was lost on me.

Fortunately, both of my concerns solved themselves one night. I went out for a beer after work. I was sitting at the bar, searching for apartments on my laptop, when a couple of guys came in. They were about my age and had their ties loosened. They too had just left work. Before I arrived in Buckhead, I purchased a new Apple laptop. I could see one of the guys eyeing it. After a minute, he asked me how I liked it. I told it him it a great investment and started showing him all of my computer's special applications. His name was Jim and we started talking. Then I told him my apartment dilemma. He said the best way to find an apartment in Buckhead was to work with a company called ProMove.

Free. Now that was an attractive word. I typed in ProMove and within minutes understood they were my best bet. They hundreds of listings, with photographs and information about neighborhoods and the people that live nearby. They kept their services free by working with property managers. When I eventually found my apartments, I would sign the lease and let the property manager know that I had worked with ProMove. The manager then paid ProMove.

It was less than a week. I worked with ProMove and found an apartment in Buckhead. I felt confident because I liked and understood the neighborhood. I knew I could afford the place. And it was close to my work. I was grateful for the help, of course. And I was anxious to set my new routine in motion. One thing, I thought, was complete. I had my own place. Then I went back to that same bar, where I had met Jim. When he and his coworkers arrived, I thanked Jim for recommending ProMove. I bought him a beer and began what is now a strong friendship.
