In Australia,Different Types of Split Air Conditioner Articles air conditioners are almost a necessity for coping with the long hot summers. The split system air conditioner is one of the most popular and widely used air conditioners. Simply put, a split air conditioner is one that has been divided into two parts which are joined by special piping, the first part is the outside compressor; it pressurizes the refrigerant gas which in turn absorbs all hot air in the building and pushes it outside through the pipes. The second part is the indoors unit, this unit delivers the cool air into the interior of the house through the pipes after expelling hot air. The split air conditioner repeatedly does this cycle to keep the room cool all the time. More information about the split air conditioner and how to install them can be found by contacting the local air conditioning professional.

REVERSE CYCLE SPLIT SYSTEM AIR CON: Unlike the split air con, the reverse cycle split system air conditioner does both functions of cooling and heating the building.  The cooling is done in the same manner as the split air conditioner. To achieve a heating effect in the house, the reverse of the cooling process is done by the air conditioner-it expels cool air from within and pushes in hot air.

INVERTER AIR CONDITIONERS: The inverter air conditioners are those split air conditioners which have an inverter as part of the air conditioner. The air conditioner’s compressor will run flat to attain a given temperature, like 250c, the inverter helps the air conditioners’ compressor to run at the appropriate speed in order to maintain the room at the specific temperature levels. In the absence of an inverter, the split air conditioner’s compressor will run until the desired temperature then turn off after attaining the temperature levels.  This makes the air conditioner do more work and the inside temperature fluctuates more without much control by the user.

MULTI SPLIT SYSTEM: Most of the split systems have one indoor unit serving one outdoor unit or compressors.  Multi split systems have one outdoor unit serving several indoor units. This means that more special pipes are needed to connect to the several indoor units from the one compressor. The one outdoor compressor is able to serve several rooms at the same time. You will need to locate the outside compressor as centrally as possible for the rooms it will be cooling.
