I thought I could talk to you about how you can choose the right computer stand for your home. The computer stand is actually the most important piece of furniture you're going to use with your computer and most people won't even put more than a few minutes of thought into what they want. They'll just buy something cheap or easy to assemble. I can see the need for keeping it simple, but your stand is going to be a big part of your computer experience. I'm going to show you how to choose the right computer stand.

You have to look at the surface area of the top of the table. The amount of space that you're going to have available will be dependent on what you plan to use the stand for. The first stand that I bought was actually too small and I didn't put a lot of thought into it. The monitor and keyboard took up most of the space, so when I needed to do work on paper, there was no desk room for me. Consider what you'll be using the stand for other than the computer and get a stand with the proper surface area.

Your computer is going to have a tower that contains everything. Most people put this on the floor and I find this to be quite messy. All the wires will be coming out the back of it and it will just look messy. Also the wires in the way will make it hard to clean. This is why you need a little area in the stand where you can place the tower. It's a small little feature, but very nice to have.
