Yash Raj Film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' is all set to sponsor your wedding ceremony! The romantic comedy will see newcomer Ranveer Singh romance Anushka Sharma.
After the dud of Lafangey Parindey at the box office, one of India’s biggest production houses – Yash Raj Films is back with ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ Movie! The ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ girl Anushka Sharma has been paired opposite debutant Ranveer Singh. The movie also marks the directorial debut of Maneesh Sharma. The romantic comedy revolves around the world of wedding planning and is all set to release on 10th December 2010. The movie is being produced by Aditya Chopra while the talented duo of Salim-Sulaiman has scored the music for the movie.
The Badmaash Company actress calls this movie as her ‘best film till date’! Apart from Band Baaja Baaraat, she will also be seen sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar in Nikhil Advani's Patiala House. The main leads Shruti (Anushka) and Bittoo (Ranveer) are just out of Delhi University. A chance and mistimed meeting brings them together to reluctantly start a chaotic entrepreneurial venture as Wedding Planners, nevertheless with one firm rule: not to mix business with pleasure. Their business follows the ups and downs of the lavish world of the glamour and glitz of Delhi baaraats and weddings that will test their friendship over time.
Interestingly the movie’s promotions have created a lot of buzz in the market. The contest wherein the ‘BBB’ team will be sponsoring a real wedding has drawn a lot of attention from the fans. The male lead Ranveer Singh, a complete newcomer with no prior acting or modelling experience whatsoever, impressed producer Aditya Chopra so much that he cast him after his first audition, signing a three-film contract with the actor. With this movie, Anushka Sharma completes her three-film contract with Yash Raj, which started with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. BBB started filming on 4 February 2010 and has been shot in Delhi, Mumbai and Rajasthan. Much famed choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant has done the choreography for the movie.
