When you talk of will and estate planning, people find it a hard topic to talk about so they avoid it as much as they can. They think of either disability or worse case death when they think of will and this is not easy. However if you truly love your family and the people around you then this is something you have to face as early as now so everyone has something to hold on to when the inevitable comes. Have ever thought to ask yourself what will happen to all your possessions once you die? If you suddenly leave this world, how will your family survive? Who will take care of all your assets in the event you become incapacitated and unable to do so?
You might not have given these questions second thought but when accidents happen you would have wish that you thought and done something about it early on. You must have someone to plan your estates even when you are still young and healthy because you just might regret not doing it. if it is too late, your possessions might not go to who you intend it to, there might be disagreements and other organizational problems that your heirs have to go through and these you want to avoid at all cost. If you want your wishes to be carried out upon your death, your assets going to the right people then having a will done is the best and legal thing to do. When you do not have one, once you are gone you will not have much control on what happens to all your properties and those you have left behind will just have to wait for what will be given to them in due time.
If you are a parent and you truly care for your child or children, then having a will drafted is of utmost importance. You know and you would wish it that your death would always precede that of your children. What parent in their right mind wouldn’t ask for this, right? However what you haven’t though about is that you might be incapacitated either mentally or physically and worse die before your kids come of age so now imagine what will become of them. This is not a pretty scene but still something you have to face and provide for. You need to make a will, state who will care for the kids in case both parents die and then what will happen to their inheritance while they are still unable to inherit and what is the right age for them to inherit. All of these is part of your estate planning and must be done as soon as possible.
