There are many brands all around the world,How Nike Company Becomes Famous Articles however, Nike deserves to be the first one to come to people's mind. Ilie Nastase was the first man to wear Nike shoes, and that was more than fifty years ago. After that time, Nike Company has improved a lot, and also during this period, people has realized the merits of Nike shoes. Nike Company has released lots of series aimed at different kinds of people like men, women as well as children since the releasing of its first series of shoes. You will find it difficult to judge in which country people wear Nike shoes most but it is sure that Nike is our unique choice.
Nike Company is unique because it has experienced successfully the ups and downs. Nike Company was set up in 1964 by the track-and-field athlete Phillip Knight who was struggling out a way to earn his own life. This company was originally called by the name of "Blue Ribbon Sports" and its first business began by introducing Tiger Running shoes from the Onitsuka Company in Japan. He put these most of shoes in the car and sold out them after track meets. Before long, another person joined in this venture, say, Bill Bowerman. He was the tack coach of Phillip Knight. At that time, he was trying to find the higher-qualified track shoes for his athletes.
These Tiger Running shoes proved to be a best selling. After that, the strength of this company was enhanced. In that situation, it began to employ full-time employees, and open its first location. By the year of 1971, the volume of business in Blue Ribbon Sports has reached over a million dollars. Therefore, the company prepared to design its own shoes. The first shoes made by this company was "Nike" shoes. The name "Nike" was inspired by the Greek goddess of victory. On these shoes, the famous Nike's trademark "swoosh" was marked as the feature. This "swoosh" was designed by Carolyn Davidson. At first, Knight was not interested in this symbol. In his words, he didn't love it, but it would grow on him. This seems funny.
The first self-designed Nike shoes were the Waffle-soled Moon shoes which was introduced in 1972. Bowerman was inspired by the household waffle iron when he tired to design a new sole which was able to get better grip on urethane tracks and then he made it. In addition, other innovations were also designed out by Nike Company. for example, a Nylon-topped Running shoe, and a cushioned midsole. It is worth mentioning that the overall length of the shoe can be covered by the cushioned midsole.
Blue Ribbon Sport Sales altered its name to Nike in 1978 and its sales increased at a surprising speed and reached to 270 million dollars. By 1980, half the running and sports shoes market had been full of Nike shoes. Also in 1980, Nike shoes were well-known. In order to make it obtain more popularity, Nike Company invited many popular and promising athletes to endorse its shoes.
