Today, Cartier watches have created such a place in the heart of every watch connoisseur that even if he or she is asked to use another brand and is paid for the same, there is no way that the person would surrender to such a temptation. The finesse, robust performance, and timeless beauty of the watches have combined to give the wearer a feeling of pride. Any person who does not want to compromise on quality will always go with the brand-name Cartier.

The wearers of these elegant timepieces consider them a priceless object and not just a device to look for time. In fact, many people love to wear them on special occasions. They do so to enhance their personality and flaunt their taste for quality watches. Such is the dedication of the users for the brand that they do not mind investing in watch winders, since keeping the watches unused for several days will harm the parts.  The watch winders helps in rewinding the timepieces and save them from wear and tear.

In all these years from its inception, Cartier has created many elegant watches. If one has to point out the best five and most popular Cartier watches, then they will be Santos, Pasha, Tank, Roadster, and Ballon Bleu.

In 1904, Cartier had a talk with Santo-Dumont, who was Brazilian and by profession an aviator. During the discussion, he talked about his problems faced when flying an aircraft. Since aviators had to use pocket watches because there were no wrist watches at that time, it was not easy for them to use these watches at a higher elevation.  This general discussion with the Brazilian aviator forced Cartier watches to create a wrist watch that can be used even during the flight. The watch was named Santos, since the motivation for creating it came from Santo-Dummont. The square bezel and the flat features of the watch are still popular with aviators of these days.

The Pasha watches were the first designed and manufactured timepieces by Cartier in 1933. It was produced for the Pasha of Marrakesh so that he can use it even when swimming, thus making it the first waterproof watch. Some of the features from the Pasha watches are still being used in latest timepieces.

Cartier Tank Watches introduced the rectangular cases and bracelet. These timepieces have rounded corners and sleek edges. All these features made the timepieces more trendy and eye catching. For this reason, several celebrities all over the world took a fancy for these watches and started using them on their wrists. Most famous women preferred the simple metal bracelet since they match with their wrists. Male celebrities use leather straps, or sport watches adorned with precious material. The Tank watches have also been a personal favorite of Princess Diana.

The Cartier Roadster watches were introduced in 2001 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the company. This series like the other timepieces achieved massive success in the watch market. The watches are specially made for sportsmen. The bright sword-shaped black oxidized hands made of steel is the identification sign of these Cartier watches.

The Cartier Ballon Bleu watches are now compared to other watches. They were launched in 2007 with round faces. The crown of these watches have blue sapphire cabochons. The Roman numerals and the time hands in blue colour and sword shape add to the sophistication of these watches. The most sought-after brand in this series is the Cartier Ballon Bleu Flying Tourbillon. These Cartier watches are made to reduce the impact of gravity.
