It’s summertime,Mosquito Racket - Does It Work? Here’s Our Honest Review Articles which means it is time to start worrying about bug bites. Ticks, bugs, mosquitos–all of them are out in full force right now, looking for an opportunity to feast on their next blood meal. When they find their way into our homes or yards, these little critters can be a nuisance (and sometimes more). You may be like me and despise the idea of spraying harsh chemicals all over your yard to kill insects at every turn. The thought alone makes both my wife and I shudder, which leaves us with few other options than to try something new, healthier, natural approach that seemingly offers much more than just killing off bugs. So does the mosquito racket work? Here’s our honest review.

What Is Mosquito Racket

The mosquito racket is a small handheld “flamethrower” that emits butane gas to light up the air. It then creates an artificial fog which you can aim at mosquitoes to repel them. The gas also does act as an irritant for humans, so it can help repel us too – although you're not supposed to breathe the fumes.

Reviews

As recommended by its manufacturer, one user stated that they tested out their new bug zapping cannon on a wasp nest, and it worked wonders at keeping the pesky critters away from their home. However, some users have stated that while their machine works well at repelling more significant bugs such as bees, it rarely seems to affect mosquitoes.

Many users have also stated that the machine emits a relatively strong odor, making it unpleasant for anyone nearby and those using it.

The mosquito racket is relatively cheap and comes with a one-year warranty. You can use it both indoors and outdoors as it functions just like any other flamethrower – you need to hold your finger over the gas emission tube, and that’s pretty much all there is to it. However, we could not find any information about solar-powered versions for people who don't want disposable butane cartridges. So this might still be an extra cost after buying the basic model. If you love spending time in nature but hate being swarmed by insect pests, the mosquito racket might be a good buy for you!

However, suppose you want to keep insects away from your home or garden. In that case, we recommend looking at our ultrasonic pest repellent review – especially as you can also control this device with your smartphone. Not only will it protect you from mosquitoes, but it's also effective against rodents and other unwelcome creatures. It emits a high-frequency sound that is inaudible to humans but drives most animals insane – making them feel very uncomfortable and causing them to flee your property.

Bottom Line

A mosquito racket is a new product that’s been getting some buzz lately for mosquito control home. It seems like it can be an effective and safe solution for those of us who want to spend time outdoors but don't want to deal with mosquito bites or West Nile Virus. The reviews we found were mixed, which makes sense because this isn't something people have used before, so there's no way of knowing if it will work as advertised. We reviewed our own experience using mosquito rackets one evening. We can confirm that it does seem to keep mosquitoes away from you while wearing the device around your neck.
