Where To Live In Austin TX for Young Professionals? - Downtown

My number one choice is downtown.  Being a young professional is about being smart with your time.  You want all the little things taken care of so you have time to focus on the bigger picture – What will be my next business venture?  What’s my next investment project going to be?  Where are there happy hours where I can meet other like-minded young professionals?  You want the option to have crazy party nights downtown but also want an area where you can buckle down and get your work done?  Downtown is your spot.

A condo will most likely be the way to go as there are very few single family houses in the area.  Most condos are luxury and can run $1000-$3000 for rent or $300K to many millions to buy.  Google and yelp are your friends – Check reviews,Where To Live In Austin TX For Young Professionals Articles ask around, do your research, and you can find a nice upscale spot.  If you have any questions searching, feel free to contact me (this is a free service).  My contact is at the bottom of this page.

NoLo or North Loop is North Austin version of SoCo and has that keep Austin weird feeling with cool restaurants, coffee shops, and a few bars, all of which are in walking distance.  There is a huge tech community in North Austin as there are many high tech companies out this way – Dell, Samsung, IBM, etc – and so many choose this area so they have a short commute to work.

Where To Live In Austin TX for Young Professionals? - Clarksville

For those of you who don’t want to a condo but want to be near downtown in a quieter area, Clarksville is your spot.  The homes in this neighborhood date back to the 1870’s and average 1900 sq ft due to additions.  There are beautiful trees, good sized yards, and you are walking distance to downtown so you don’t need to deal with the parking fiasco.  A 2 bed 3 bath averages $500,000 to $600,000.
