Cleaning up the clutter in all areas of your life can reduce stress and allow room for new things and opportunities to come your way.

For even the most laid back,Clean up the Clutter Articles "organized mess" types, extreme clutter will start to get to anyone after awhile, and we'll usually go on a cleaning binge. (That lasts a week or two, until we mess it up again, right?) But clearing up all that clutter can actually be therapeutic, in more than one way. Think about how good it feels when you're finally done and you can stand back and look at how clean and organized everything is. It's a very peaceful feeling, isn't it? Sure, it would be great to feel that way all the time, if we can get into the habit of keeping it that way. That would be fantastic, but that's not exactly what I'm referring to. (Although, it's a nice added bonus)

I'm referring to cleaning up the clutter in all areas of your life - your home, your office, your yard or garage, even your schedule. Why, you say? Why would I want to be less busy? Then I would be bored. How could I possibly do less? I'm a busy person, there's no way I can clear anything out of my schedule. Doesn't being busy mean that I'm in high demand, and therefore successful? No, not necessarily.

By clearing out the clutter, you are making way for new and better things, believe it or not. Not only do you get the satisfaction of being organized, or feeling good about yourself because you gave all those clothes you hadn't worn in years to charity, but you've just sent a message to the universe that you're ready for the bigger and better. You've got to make room in your life for the bigger and better things to come your way. By clearing up your schedule, you're allowing room to take advantage of the wonderful opportunities you might have otherwise had to pass up because you're too busy. By cleaning out your office or garage, you're making room for a bigger desk or a nicer car, and trust me, once you make room for them, those things will come your way.

Not only is a clutter-free environment much less stressful and more productive for working, but it's the law of the universe at work. Think about this. We know that we can create a vacuum, suck the air out of a container and seal it up so that no air can enter. As long as we keep that container sealed, it will remain free of air. But what happens when we suddenly break that seal? That's right, air rushes in. Nature does not like a vacuum. Nature strives for equilibrium. So if you free your environment of all that clutter, you are creating space. As soon as you lift the seal (in this case, the clutter) nature will flood your environment in order to fill it back up and create an equilibrium. (And, the more you keep it clutter free, the more space remains for opportunities to continue coming your way!)
