Digital cameras are of different types such as compact digital cameras, mirror less interchangeable-lens camera, bridge cameras, water proof cameras, digital single lens reflex cameras etc. These cameras have their own specifications and usefulness such as compact digital cameras are the most common digital cameras and usually are very slim and smaller in size. These types of these cameras are also recognized as the point and shoot cameras and are very easy to use. Bridge cameras are in fact the DSLRs which are of higher resolution and quality and are mostly used by the professional photographers. When the lens of DSLR is interchangeable then it is known as mirror less interchangeable-lens camera.

Machinery usually get out of order when taken under the water but the water proof digital cameras are specially made to take the pictures under water. This type of digital camera helps in exploring a very different world in under water which and enable everyone to have a glimpse of it through pictures which was only be seen by the divers. These cameras today are not considered as some luxury or the device used for following one’s hobby instead they are now considered as the usual device that every student and professional must have.

While buying the digital cameras one must keep few things in mind. First one must know the reason of buying if one wants to be a professional photographer then he should go for the DSLR but if one just wants to capture his daily memories then he should go for the compact digital cameras. Meanwhile the specifications of cameras such as pixels, image sensors, resolutions, storage, reflex mirror, image size, range speed, focus, file format, battery etc should also be considered and if one does not have any knowledge about these specifications then he must surf through internet or should get  piece of advice from some professional photographer.

Digital cameras today have become the necessity for the younger generation and with the increasing popularity the companies like Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Samsung, Sony, Kodak etc are introducing something new in these cameras. The availability of different sizes, shapes and colors of these cameras also attract people and play a convincing role for people to buy these cameras. The technology is revolutionizing and so the digital cameras and after few years the specifications and types of these cameras would be totally different then it is today.
