Nainital is one of the most beautiful hill station of Uttarakhand. It is located in the Kumaon,Best places to visit in Nainital Articles Uttarakhand. It is the Heart of the Uttarakhand and also known as the Lake district of India. The word Nainital is derived from the Naini Lake. The word Nainital is the combination of the two words Naini and Tal. Naini means ‘the eye’and Tal means ‘the lake’. It is one of the best place for honeymoon.

Naini Lake - Naini lake is the major attraction of Nainital Town. It is the favourite spot for romantic travelers around the world. This lake is one of the 51 Shakti peeths or religious sites where parts of the charred body of Sati fell on earth while being carried by Lord Shiva. Lake is divided into two segments – Tallital and Mallital. Naini lake is famous for Boating, Water Sports, photography And Sightseeing.

Naina Devi Temple - Goddess Naina Devi temple is located at northern end of Naini lake at the centre of Nainital. Naina Devi Temple is  a famous Indian pilgrimage. This Temple is one of the 51 Shakti peeths or religious sites where parts of the charred body of Sati fell on earth while being carried by Lord Shiva. This temple showering blessing on devotees which come from all around the world. There is a Peepal tree that seems like sheltering the visitors in Naina devi temple.

Tiffin Top - The Tiffin Top is about 4 Km away from Nainital town also known as Dorothy’s Seat. It is a most visited picnic spot in Nainital. Tiffi Top is a delight for Visitors. Nainital Zoo - The Official name of the Zoo is Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant High Altitude Zoo Nainital. Nainital Zoo is a best attraction for animals lovers. It is Located in ‘Sher Ka Danda’ 2 Km from Tallital Bus Stand. Nainital Zoo is a home to the various endangered species like Royal Bengal Tiger, Sambar, Tibetan Wolves, Leopard Cat, Barking Deer and the Himalayan Bear. It is the single Zoo in Uttarakhand State.Students get free entry pass on the Zoo Foundation Day, World Environment Day and throughout Wild Life Week. Zoo is provided free entry pass for senior citizens and Disabled people. Zoo charged Rs.50 per person for Adults and Rs.20 per person for Children.   The Timming of the Zoo is 10 am to 4.30 pm except Monday. The Zoo remains closed on Holidays.

Eco Cave Gardens - Eco Cave Gardens is recently developed in Nainital. This Gardens is located in the Mallital area of Nainital and maintained by Nainital Tourism. It is a great adventure for children and the animals lover. It is just 1 Km away from the Nainital Mall Road. Number of  Students Visit the Eco Cave Garden to explore how the Wildlife habitat works. There are many caves which looks like a natural habitat. These are Tiger Cave, Panther Cave, Bats Cave, Squirrel Cave, Flying Fox Cave and Apes Cave. It is famous for Family Picnic, especially with kids.
