In sales,Been Hiding Your e-Light Under a Bushel Basket? Articles do you realize that modesty will get you nowhere?
If you like to eat, feed your family and pay your bills,
you better have boldness on your side. In sales, we aren't
of the opinion that the meek will inherit the earth.

Constant meekness will only get you a top spot in a food
stamp line! Of course, you must be truthful when you boast.
That's just good old common sense. Never brag if you don't
have the facts to back you up. Lying and boastful
exaggerations won't get you to the bank teller or put shoes
on your childrens feet.

In Sales, MUM Isn't THE Word!

Sure your Mum probably taught you to be kind and modest.
However, women didn't infiltrate the sales market in droves
like they do today. Modesty, whether it's fake or real, is
highly incompatible with professional selling. Somewhere in
the middle is the place to be. Boasting comes with the sales
territory but you'd better be boasting facts not fiction.
Customers can read through salespeople like a sturdy pair of
reading glasses. Remember your last automobile purchase?

Selling's an Art - Not an Exact Science!

It's best that you err on the side of higher sales volume.
On the net we look for visitors don't we? Salespeople have
the unique advantage of being visitors in their customers'
world. Let's face it. We don't have to live with our
customers, so remember that a bit of fresh air, a cool
conversational breeze, or a semi-gale boast, is acceptable,
as we blow through our contact lists.

Maybe an enthusiast might bore some people, but he or she
never has a dull moment in their own lives. You're not
online with the customer long enough to bore anyone, so cut
loose and allow the light inside of you, to shine through.

As a salesperson, you have a license to boast. You're a
certified boaster. People expect you to bring good news to
them. All you have to do is establish a comfort level that's
a notch above your own norm and a little below each
customer's comfort level. Conduct your e-business in this
manner and you'll probably be welcomed back on a regular
basis.

There Are Some Short-Cuts to the Bank!

Just telling everyone about your own success, especially
fresh accomplishments like, "I just finished..." is just
third party testimony...yours! Hey, we get paid to do this!
The bible even tells us something about it not being a smart
move, to hide your light under a bushel basket. These are
truly words to live by if you work in sales!

If your sales are down and you're struggling to sell in the
dark, remember this song:

"This little light of mine......... I"M going to let it
shine."

"Bold" can be beautiful when it's done with high class and
good common sense. Make a list of your most recent success
points. Use them to show your contacts and prospects that
you do mean serious business. If you don't have any true
sales success facts, it's better to keep a low profile
until you do. Why? Because on the net, all that glitters
isn't gold!
