We will meet different occasions in our life. Shall we just be ourselves but not pay attention to the dressing code? Of course not. We can not underestimate the dressing code.

We will meet different occasions in our life. Shall we just be ourselves but not pay attention to the dressing code? Of course not. We can not underestimate the dressing code. Selecting the right clothes can enhance self-confidence,Dressing Code for Different Occasions Articles while wearing the wrong clothes can sometimes be very awkward and embracing.  In different occasions we may wear different clothes.

 

I. White Tie/Ultra-formal

It is the most formal one, such as award ceremony or the palace dinner.  We ordinary people probably may not get a chance for that in our lifetime. Men should wear tailcoat, matched with a white vest, white shirt and white bow tie. There are two straight bars on both sides of the pants without the belt. Women should wear long evening dress.

 

II. Black Tie/Formal

This is the most common formal dress code. Men wear Tuxedo and the breast collar should be with black satin. It should be matched with white shirt, black bow tie, black belt, black socks and black shoes. The both sides of the pants should have the same black satin fabric with the collar. If you only have one or two chances for that occasion, you can go to rent a set of them.

 

Women wear low-cut strapless evening dress matched with small bag and shoes. It does not matter if the necklace, earrings or other jewelries are true or false, but they should be sparkling. Women should wear a bracelet but not a watch. Makeup is also very important.

 

III. Black Tie Optional/Creative Black Tie

Men can wear Tuxedo or formal dark suit with a tie instead of a bow tie. And white shirt is the best.

Women can wear evening dress or dressy separates. The accessories can be the same as in Formal occasion.

 

IV. Semi-formal

Men: dark suit

Women: Short dresses or elegant suits

V. Cocktail

Cocktail party always begins at 4 pm to 7 pm. You can choose semi-formal dress.

Men wear dark suit. Women wear short skirts or suits, with the same length of the dress in daytime. But they should pay attention to the fabric. It should be velvet or silk satin. The color also should be brighter. Coupled with sparkling jewelry, they can also use scarves and wear high-heeled shoes.

 

VI. Dressy Casual

 Men:  Meticulous casual clothes, like a suit jacket with casual pants or shirts with casual trousers and so on.

Women: Dress or a beautiful jacket with pants or sweaters with skirts, etc.

 

VII. Business Casual

You can wear more casual clothes than that in Dressy Casual, but you can not wear jeans.

 

VIII. Casual/Informal

It means that you can wear casual clothes, but you should avoid shorts pants and sandals. Of course, you should not wear suits or ties. Sometimes the more casual clothes you wear, the more people can see your taste.

As for women, a normal dress with light makeup is certainly more elegant then jeans.

IX. Smart/Casual

 

Men should wear a collared shirt, such as polo tee or shirt. It can be short sleeve. They can also wear jeans. Women can wear shirts with light makeup.
