Maruti Suzuki Cervo is a compact car which can accommodate four adults. Sounds like the Alto,Maruti Cervo is the most awaited upcoming hatchback in India Articles but it is not the successor of this. Under the hood is 658cc small four-cylinder. The car comes with most Standard features and is a front wheel drive with a four-speed automatic option as well.  The Suzuki Cervo powered by a 660 cc VVT engine by default comes with a four-speed automatic transmission. The interior is characterized by two sports seats and a Bluetooth connection. The car's style and design will surely appeal to the younger era with its sexy curves and smooth edges.

Japanese brands often first present new models in Japan, the model with a different name in Europe will be introduced. The Toyota Yaris and Vitz was first launched in Japan before the identical European Yaris was unveiled. Since it is known that the Alto replaced in 2007, it is therefore tempting to think that the Cervo is the successor to the Alto. Nimag, the Dutch Suzuki importer, confirmed that the Alto is replaced next year. But Nimag adds strongly to ensure that the Cervo is only for the Asian market. It is therefore possible that the Suzuki MR Concept, which was shown at the Tokyo Motor Show in February, will serve as the basis for the new Alto.

It looks like if it is out on the roads it would certainly be a rage, but still the Japanese headquarters of the Suzuki has decided not to export the car to India. The successor to the Alto, according to the spokesperson of the brand however begged to differ and said the Cervo will shortly be presented.

The Cervo is a compact model with a length of 3.395 meters, a width and height of 1.475 and 1.535 meters. It has five doors and provides shelter to four average size guys. Then there is also an optional 658 cc four-cylinder gasoline engine without turbo that delivers 54 hp and the 60 hp for the turbo. The power is transferred with the help of a four-speed automatic and front wheel drive onto the road. The four wheel drive is available at extra cost.

The name is not new to Suzuki. The brand used the designation already in the eighties and nineties for the kei concept cars. That Cervo models were delivered in Europe, albeit under a different name. The famous-SC100 coupe with rear-engine and drive the rear wheels and the three-door Alto from the nineties. The front-drive version has an atmospheric (Japanese) standard consumption of 4.8 l/100 km.
Suzuki expects to sell 5,000 units monthly.

The Cervo brings in the 'kei' cars concept with a modest capacity to enjoy significant tax advantages in India. Maruti is already the market leader with its Wagon R, Swift, and Alto etc. The Cervo attempts of most small city cars to be honored with a special design according to Suzuki and groundbreaking handling.

Although the company is yet to disclose the launch details or the price of Maruti Suzuki Cervo, the base model of the car is expected to be close to Rs. 1,50,000 and go up to 2.50 for the high end variant. The top variant will feature state-of-the-art security capabilities like Airbags and ABS.
