Opening a business can be extremely risky. However,A Corporate Attorney is Vital to Your Business Articles all of the risks are well worth it, when the entity seems to be doing well. Even when this occurs, it's important not to get so caught in the hype that you forget, neglect, or overlook other beneficial aspects.

For instance, two brothers can open their own chain of grocery stores and be so focused on the actual products that they forget to invest in someone such as a corporate attorney. Little do they know, this type of lawyer is extremely necessary to anyone opening a corporation, or even a partnership, like theirs.

"Man, I'm so glad we opened this business, because things are going much better than I could've ever imagined," said the younger brother. "At first I thought we were being too ambitious opening eight locations at once."

"Yeah, me too," said the older brother. "I've been thinking. Do you think we might need to hire a corporate attorney, just in case?"

The younger brother got up from his seat and walked over to his elder brother and put his hand on his shoulder. "Do I sense a little fear?" he asked. "Now, you are older than me, so you're supposed to be the brave one. Why on earth would we need a corporate attorney?"

"We have been doing extremely well. Over the past few months and we've had no legal trouble to speak of," he continued. "If we keep running our business well and continue to treat our customers right, and have integrity, there's no reason that we'll ever need to waste money on a lawyer."

That night, the older brother couldn't seem to get rid of the idea of needing a lawyer. He tried to find sense in what his brother told him earlier, but he had extreme doubts. So, he decided to call his mother.

"Yeah, Mom, he won't hear me," he said. "He says if we do right, we won't need one."

"Well, dear, he might be right," she said. "I thought the only people who needed to run and get a lawyer are the ones who are trying to hide something."

After the conversation with his mother, he felt a little better and decided to put the situation in the back of his mind. Maybe they didn't need a corporate attorney, he thought.

About a month passed, and the older brother was in the Bahamas on vacation when he got a frantic phone call from his younger brother.

"You have to get down here quick," he said. "This lady is trying to sue us, because she said she fell on a banana peel in the store. I don't know what to do."

"Okay, I'll take the next flight back," he said trying to sound calm. "See, I told you we should have hired a lawyer.

"Yeah," said the younger brother. "Maybe, it's true what you always told me. You're older, which makes you smarter and wiser."
