There are only a few weeks left to Equiplast, the international plastic and rubber trade show that will take place in Barcelona as usual.
The 16th edition of Equiplast, one of the most important events in Europe as far as the sector of plastics and rubber is concerned, will take place in Barcelona from the 14th to the 18th of November. Every year the event, which takes place every three years, catalyzes in the Spanish city many professionals working in this field and coming not only from Spain, but also from all over Europe and from other continents. The internationality of the event is clear to the organisers, as Equiplast is primarily meant to involve foreign professionals and entrepreneurs that might be interested in exploring the possibility of widening their business in Spain, and who want to do that also taking part in events and trade shows like this. It is no coincidence that the organisers of the event have collaborated with associations like the the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX), the Latin American Plastics Industry Association (ALIPLAST) and the Moroccan Plastics Federation, in order to stimulate the exchanges also with Mexico, Brazil, Morocco, Nicaragua and Guatemala, and in this way give new life to the plastics and rubber industry in Spain.
A great opportunity for those who work in the field of plastics, an opportunity to build new business relationships, keeping up-to-date with the newest markets trends and getting to know all the novelties offered by important companies working in the field of plastics and rubber. Many exhibitors will take part in the event, coming from all over the world as representatives of all the subcategories of the wide sector of plastics: raw materials, parts and components, machinery and equipments, recycling, research development and innovation, semi-manufactured and finished products, moulds and dies and services.
During the trade show also other interesting events will take place, which will be meant to examine some of the most urgent issues of the sector. Among the themes dealt with in the five days of the trade show, the use of plastics in the automotive sector, biodegradable plastics, energy saving in the manufacture of plastics and much more.
The 16th edition of Equiplast takes place in 2011, i.e. the international year of chemistry, for which the slogan “Chemistry: our life, our future” has been created, and which has three main goals: increasing people’s awareness of chemistry as an essential tool to meet the needs of our society; awaken the interest of young people towards this subject; boasting the enthusiasm towards the creative future of chemistry. Equiplast officially supports the initiatives organised by UN and UNESCO to celebrate the role of primary importance played by chemistry in the development and transformation of the world we live in.
