Offset card printing is the most widely used form of printing today. A high quality print process,Offset Card Printing Articles offset printing produces the best of results and becomes cheaper as the quantity increases.

Offset Card Printing: How does it work

Offset card printing involves the transfer of an inked image from a plate to a rubber blanket or a cylinder and from there to a printing surface. The use of a cylinder allows greater flexibility by permitting printing on wood, cloth, metal, leather and paper. Offset printing is based on the principle that water and grease do not mix to print from a single surface level. During the process, greasy ink gets deposited on grease treated printing areas of the plate, while the non printing areas, holding water, reject the ink. The offset plate is metallic and has a porous surface that is coated with a photosensitive material. In offset printing, the material to be printed is neither raised above the surface of the printing plate nor sunk below it.

Offset printing is quite fast and inexpensive for large quantities, generally more than 200 cards. Any amount of cards below this will be quite expensive. This is because it takes time and money to set up a printing press for a new job. Once a certain order volume is exceeded, any additional costs are negligible. So you can get your business cards or invitation or message cards printed through offset card printing services fairly cost-effectively.
