Packaging and labeling industry is a big industry and it uses various form of technologies to manufacture labels and tags. Offset  printing is one of them. Letterpress printing that was used earlier is way inferior than offset printing. Today, offset is used more and more and the reason behind this is excellent quality. It is extremely good in CMYK and vignette printing. The operation of an offset press needs a lot of experience, but with the advent of water-less offset press, the hassles of ink/water balance and provided offset print quality.  Like everything, offset would improve with time and in recent times, the main concern is to bring down setup and running waste.

Offset Printing has great future and the quality of the offset has never been questioned. It is a niche player in the high-end label market. Today all the big brands including proctor & gamble, Nestle demand offset printed labels and hence it is damn easy to say that the future belongs to offset printing. The growth is expected for two reasons; enhanced productivity and excellent quality is one of the reason and the other one is we have no restrictions on offset combination printing cost is very attractive. Offset printing is the demand of all the high end brands and more and more suppliers or the labeling companies have adapted this technology.
